Tanga-wali was a case of transliteration gone wrong (albeit unintentionally), because it is a single word and not a hyphenated one.
The second song
from the film happened to be a solo.
It was titled Rim
Jhim Jhim Badarwa Barse (translated to, “Pitter-patter, the rain falls”).
And the lady who
lent her voice to it was the one and only Lata Mangeshkar.
That was not a
surprise, because she was the only female singer to contribute to the
soundtrack of the film.
The song, which
was written by Prem Dhawan, was composed by Salil Chowdhury.
