Lata had a solo too

Tanga-wali was a case of transliteration gone wrong (albeit unintentionally), because it is a single word and not a hyphenated one.

The second song from the film happened to be a solo.

It was titled Rim Jhim Jhim Badarwa Barse (translated to, “Pitter-patter, the rain falls”).

And the lady who lent her voice to it was the one and only Lata Mangeshkar.

That was not a surprise, because she was the only female singer to contribute to the soundtrack of the film.

The song, which was written by Prem Dhawan, was composed by Salil Chowdhury.
