The golden-hearted Rafi rendered it

Maya released in 1961.

Spread across my playlists, there were a couple of tracks from the film in my collection.

If they were arranged in the alphabetical order, the subject of this post would be the first.

It was titled Koi Sone Ke Dilwala.

And appropriately, it was rendered by the man with a heart of gold, the one and only Mohammed Rafi.

The next four words of the Salil Chowdhury composition, were ‘Koi Chandi Ke Dilwala’ (which could be translated to ‘the man with a heart of silver’).

It was written by Majrooh Sultanpuri.
