Mr Ganguly (Kisho)rendered this song

Musafir released in 1957 (and had three episodes).

My collection contained just one song from the film.

It was titled Munna Bada Pyara.

The next three words of the song went, “Ammi Ka Dulara”.

Kishore Kumar happened to be one of the stars in the second episode in the film (which was titled Birth).

So, it was no surprise that he lent his voice to the song as well.

By the way, it was his only contribution to the soundtrack of the film.

The song, which was written by Shailendra, was composed by Salil Chowdhury.

It completed Rafi’s ‘Bhagwaan’ duology

As far as this playlist was concerned, there were a couple of tracks that could collectively be called Mohammed Rafi’s ‘Bhagwaan’ duology in the 1950s.

And that track had the word ‘Bhagwaan’ in the title – it was called Na Main Bhagwaan Hoon.

It was one of the five songs from the 1957 film Mother India in my collection.

Shakeel Badayuni wrote the Naushad composition, which was three minutes and 24 seconds long.
