Sardar released in 1955.
And my collection contained just one
track from it.
It was titled Barkha Ki Raat
Mein.
While all the songs in the film were
solos, this was Geeta Dutt’s only contribution to the soundtrack of the film.
Uddhav Kumar wrote it.
Every part of the composer’s name
reflected his dedication to his craft and what he wanted to do.
His name was Jagmohan Sursagar.
And, he was an ocean of melody (as
his last name suggests), and wanted to enthrall the world (if his first name
was anything to go by).
