If there was one thing that defined Hindi film songs in the early 1980s, it had to be the songs from Jeetendra-starrers which were remakes of Telugu films.
And there were
three ways to identify them.
Firstly, they crossed
the limits of decency.
Secondly, each of
those were written by Indeevar.
And thirdly, they
were composed by Bappi Lahiri.
One of those was Mawaali,
which released in 1983.
The only song
from the film in my collection was Jhopdi Mein Charpai.
The two people
who (Bhos)lent their voices to it were Asha and Kishore Kumar.
